Kwaito gave birth to legends like Arthur Mafokate
and Spikiri who are known as the Godfathers of Kwaito. After the release of
Mandela in 1990 Kwaito grew quickly to become the sound and voice of South
African Youth. For many years house took the back seat as Kwaito took centre
stage. Now the tables have turned. Kwaicore is born.
