Well known popular DJ Sbu was believed to be Mzekezeke (Horse
voice masked Kwaito star) from the township of Tembisa in Johannesburg. He
has never admitted to the public that he is indeed Mzekezeke. He stormed
into the entertainment scene in 2002 as a mysterious voice on YFM Radio who
would regularly phone famous kwaito artists, producers and actors and then
harass them live on air for many months. His hilarious imitations of the
average South African broken-English-speaking township person earned him a hardcore kwaicore fan base.
