Sharon Dee Speaks Out

Sharon Dee stressed that Kwaito is not dead. She stated that people who were listening to Kwaito back then have grown up. So now they listen to older music or just old school Kwaito that they can relate to.  Kwaicore would not be such a bad idea to introduce to the older market. It still has elements of  the Kwaito they used to listen too. The older you get you discover that you that your interests change and you start to like new things from when you are younger. She was a Kwaito star in her early 20's.

I had the opportunity to speak to Sharon Dee on her views on Kwaito. She started as a Kwaito artist. As she grew older she ventured into a different genre, gospel.  She is honored when people stop her 20yrs later to say that she made a difference in their youthful lives. They will always cherish her music. That is a Kwaicore move.
